Who we are
This website is run by SynaptAI Limited, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC869589), registered office: [Registered office address]. For the purposes of UK data protection law, SynaptAI Limited is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, email admin@synaptai.co.uk.
The short version
- This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
- We only receive personal information if you choose to contact us.
- We use it to reply to you, and nothing else. We never sell it.
- Please do not send us any patient or health information through this website or by email.
Information we collect
When you contact us. The contact form does not store or send anything itself. When you press Send, it opens your own email app with your message filled in, and nothing reaches us unless you send that email. If you do, or if you email us directly, we receive what you include: usually your name, organisation, email address and message.
When you visit the site. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, automatically processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is needed to deliver the site securely and protect it from attacks. We do not use this information to identify you.
How and why we use it
- To read and reply to your enquiry, and to keep a record of our correspondence.
- To keep the website running securely.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us and in running a secure website. Where you contact us about working together, we may also rely on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your information. We only share it with service providers who help us run our business, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website.
- Namecheap (Private Email), which provides our email service.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
International transfers
Some of our providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for up to two years after our last contact with you, unless we go on to work together, in which case we keep records for as long as needed for that relationship and our legal obligations. Hosting providers keep technical logs for short periods set by their own policies.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to or ask us to restrict how we use it.
To use any of these rights, email admin@synaptai.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
This website does not set any cookies. Our fonts are hosted on our own site, so your browser does not contact third-party font services when you visit.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
